Concert Nova, the group of classical musicians who often combine music with other art forms, is giving a concert combining music, food and video. The music is movements from several pieces based on the theme of the four seasons.
The group will rehearse while chefs prepare food at the Midwest Culinary Institute. For the performance, a video of the preparations will be shown while the music is performed. The food will be prepared again for the audience and served as dinner by the bite.
Involved are local chefs David Cook of Daveed's, Julie Francis of Nectar, and John Kinsella, Tom Wyatt, Megan Ketover and Meg Galvin - and possibly Jean-Robert de Cavel - of MCI. The concert is 6 p.m., April 18 at the Midwest Culinary Institute. The performance and dinner cost $50. See www.concertnova.com for tickets.
This blog is a follow-up to my website www.Cincyfood.com which reviews local Cincinnati area restaurants, provides information on various dining events, and gives various recipes. Cheers!
